Located on the Pacific coastline between Playa Guiones and Santa Teresa, in the small town of Samara, Guanacaste, Surf Samara offers great surf, without the crowds of some of Costa Rica’s better know surf destinations.
Surf Coaching
At Surf Samara we offer personalized surf coaching from I.S.A. instructors in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Our camp is small, which means you’ll get more coaching time — never more than 3 students per instructor. Our goal is your progress, and that’s why our instructors give you the one-on-one attention you need to improve your skills and feel safe and relaxed in the ocean.
Yoga
Recover, unwind, and restore your body after surfing. Enjoy 2 yoga lessons with each week-long camp.
Explore
Stand up paddle board tour in the river or in the ocean, take a kayak tour to the island, enjoy cooking classes, habla Español with Spanish classes, enjoy a beach bonfire, take an eco-hike or canopy tour. Add as many adventures as you like when you customize your camp. Or, just hop on one of our bikes into town and explore authentic Costa Rica on your own.
Unique Accommodations
Just a few minutes from the surf, our two treehouses and one glamping tent are built on pillars high in the lush jungle canopy. Relax and recover in your private space, and enjoy views of Costa Rica’s rich flora and fauna.

The accomodations and the whole property is just beautiful, a little paradise with a lot of Fauna and Flora and sometimes you even get exotic visitors such as monkey, tucans, iguanas and a lot of beautiful birds. The place is a little dream on a little hill.
Furthermore the chill town of Samara can be reached within minutes by bycicle (which are available at Surf Samara) or car.
